Ashtabula County Census Committee

Ashtabula County established the 2020 Census Complete Count Committee (CCC) to ensure an accurate count in the 2020 Census.  The Committee is made up of a broad spectrum of government and community leaders.

What Is the Census?

The U.S. Constitution requires the federal government to conduct a census or "actual enumeration" of every person living in the country every ten years.

Why Is The 2020 U.S. Census Important?

The census determines how much funding our schools, hospitals, public housing, roads receive from the federal government.  Every person who isn't counted will result in about $1,800 a year less funding to the community for needed programs and infrastructure.  The 2020 Census will also determine how many Representatives the State of Ohio gets in the U.S. House of Representatives.
