UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE FILING FEE SCHEDULE
Effective August 1, 2003
Pursuant to Amended Sub. Senate Bill 74 (Revised Article 9), the County Recorder may accept only real property-related UCC filings, and terminations of realty and non-realty-related UCCs.
The following fees are prescribed by Ohio Revised Code Section 1309.525(A) and 317.32(E).
UCC-1 Real Property-related UCC Filing
FEE: $12.00 basic fee + $4.00 for each indexed name
Indexed names include debtors, secured parties, and record owners.
UCC-3 Amendment to Real Property-related UCC Filing
including continuations, assignments, amendments, and partial releases
FEE: $12.00 basic fee + $4.00 for each indexed name
Indexed names include debtors, secured parties, and record owners.
UCC-3 Termination of Real Property-related UCC Filing
FEE: $12.00 basic fee + $4.00 for each indexed name
Indexed names include debtors, secured parties, and record owners.
To obtain an acknowledgement of a termination, enclose a photocopy.
UCC-3 Termination of Non-realty-related UCC Filing
FEE: $12.00
To obtain an acknowledgement of a termination, enclose a photocopy.
Request for Information/Search of Files (one debtor name per request)
FEE: $20.00 basic fee + $2.00 per page of copy, if copies are requested
Turnaround time for return of search results: 2 business days
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
-- Make checks payable to: Ashtabula County Recorder
-- Blank "Not to Exceed" checks are acceptable.
-- Submit a separate UCC-3 form for each transaction type.
-- A self-addressed, stamped envelope is requested for return of acknowledgement forms.
-- There is no additional fee for exhibits or attachments to UCC forms.

Real Property-related UCC Filing Requirements:
____ Provide a complete legal description of the real property to which the collateral is related
____ Indicate that the UCC is to be indexed in the real property records
____ If the debtor does not have an interest of record in the real property, provide the name of the record owner
