Inspections can be set up by calling the Building Department. Any inspection called into our office by 3:00 p.m., can be schedule for the following day. Your permit number is a necessity when calling in inspections. Inspectors conduct inspections on numerous planning and structural items to assure compliance with governing codes. These items include such things as the number, size, and location of windows and doors, length and thickness of framing lumber, and size and stability of foundations. All code issues are centered around the health and welfare of the occupant and of the public in general. Approved drawings must be on site for use by the inspector for all inspections.
The following inspection requirements are given with all permits obtained from our office and should be read before commencing any work. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to make sure that all inspections are completed at the necessary times.
Contractors and Owners please note: A re-inspection fee will be charged when an inspector must return for work that was not ready at the time of the scheduled inspection, building was locked, approved construction documents not on site or had failed a previous inspection. Fees must be paid prior to scheduling final inspection, or if two (2) fees are assessed on a project, fees are due before the next inspection is scheduled.
